Do I have to change web hosting providers?

Not necessarily, but we'll likely recommend one of our preferred hosting partners. Your website is your most important marketing investment and you should pay for quality hosting. We’ll help you choose which is ideal for you and provide a signup link.

 

If your host does not not meet the minimum requirements for facilitating our management program, you may not be eligible to receive all benefits of our service.

What do you need in order to setup support on my site?

After you have selected and purchased your support plan, you will be directed to fill out a Customer Intake Form so we can collect some details about your site (WordPress Admin, FTP, SSH access, DNS). This helps us connect to your site in order to install our services offered (i.e., security monitoring, backups, and plugins). Our staff keeps these credentials private and will never share these details with anyone not associated with WP Managed.

What happens if my site breaks when you update WordPress or my plugin(s), theme(s), or PHP?

If the site breaks and we can fix it promptly (an obvious or known issue), we will immediately fix the issue and send a notification to your account contact email address. If the fix is unknown or not immediate, we will roll the site back to the most recent backup (created before the update).

We will spend up to one (1) hour of time fixing/troubleshooting the issue – if we cannot resolve it within that timeframe, we will give you a time/cost estimate and let you decide if you’d like us to proceed forward.

What does WP Managed do if my site has been hacked?

WP Managed continuously monitors customer sites using ongoing security scans. Common issues are also manually checked whenever relevant. Unfortunately, even with proactive monitoring, no one can catch every security issue. In the event a security issue does occur, our goal is to respond immediately within regular business hours. We will either fix the hacked website, or roll it back to the most recent secure version and evaluate how the hack occurred int he first place to take future preventative measures. Valid security concerns are of the highest priority.

Can I cancel my plan at any time?

Yes – you can cancel within 30 days of your renewal date. You’re never required to stay with us – in fact, we’d prefer you have the option to leave if you’re unhappy with our service and give us feedback on how we could otherwise serve you better.
